Opus50 - Coda Architectural Products
Fulfilling screening needs in stunning ways
The Project
Few locales are as well suited to promoting the growth of luxury apartment living as the west side of the metropolitan Los Angeles area. Stella Apartments was designed and built in the beautiful Marina del Rey area of Southern California, close to the Pacific Ocean and a picturesque harbor filled with luxury yachts. Incorporating more than two hundred contemporary apartments, ground floor restaurants and retail spaces, outdoor recreation space including a spectacular pool area, and a modern fitness center, the mixed-use facility provides a first-in-class living experience for its occupants.
The Product
The multi-story complex utilizes Grating Pacific’s Coda Architectural product line to adorn the building. Opus panels are versatile, sturdy, and easy to fabricate and install, making them ideal for fencing and screening applications of all types. Stella Apartments utilizes Opus50 architectural gratings for railing infill panels bordering balconies, exterior walkways, as well as stairways and stair landings throughout the property. The clean, linear design of Opus50 panels creates a pleasing visual element that also fulfills the necessary security and structural demands of the application.
Why Opus panels?
Opus panels are manufactured from recycled steel in a timeless rectilinear pattern that furthers its architectural appeal. Interior and exterior panels were fabricated to intricate shapes and sizes and connected to railing support elements that provide a dramatic and functional architectural accent to the buildings. Coated with a hot dip galvanized finish to provide maintenance-free, long term corrosion resistance, Opus panels combine rigidity, code compliance, and a handsome appearance that will stand the test of time.
