Safety Grating Walkway Channels

Walkway channels are available with Grip Strut, Perf-O Grip, and Heavy Duty Grip Strut walking surfaces. These one-piece planks are manufactured with upturned side channels that serve as OSHA compliant toe boards. Walkway channels are excellent options for elevated walkways and conveyor catwalks.

Types of Safety Grating Walkway Channels

Grip Strut® Walkway Channels

Grip Strut walkway channels use the same open diamond matrix of standard Grip Strut planks. This safe walking surface allows for draining of liquids, passage of debris, and excellent slip resistance in all directions.

Grip Strut Walkway features:

10-Diamond 24” width
4-1/2” side toe board
HRPO or Pre-galvanized, 14 or 12 gauge steel

Perf-O Grip™ Walkway Channels

Perf-O Grip walkway channels have large debossed holes surrounded by slip-resistant perforated buttons. Like Perf-O Grip planks, the resilient walking surface also cushions footfalls which reduces worker fatigue.

Perf-O Grip Walkway features:

24” and 30” widths (36” width available on special order)
5” side toe board
HRPO or Pre-galvanized 11 gauge steel
Large Hole Only surface available without perforated buttons for cleanroom applications

Heavy Duty Grip Strut® Walkway Channels

Using the larger, heavily serrated diamond matrix of Heavy Duty Grip Strut, these walkway channels are manufactured from thicker steel which allows for longer unsupported spans.

Heavy Duty Grip Strut Walkway features:

24”, 30”, and 36” widths
5” side toe board
HRPO or Pre-galvanized 10 gauge steel

Perf-O Grip® Surface Splice Kits

As widths of Perf-O Grip increase beyond 12”, it is recommended to use surface splice kits to mechanically join lengths of planks or walkway channels end-to-end.

Part No. POG-ES-16, for use with 30” wide plank or walkway channel
