Slotted & Ornamental Patterns
Slotted Hole Perforated Patterns
Slotted perforated patterns are produced with rectangular or slotted holes. Available with either straight line or staggered alignment, these contemporary products are commonly used for ventilation covers or architectural accents.
Ornamental Perforated Patterns
Distinct and elegant, Grating Pacific ornamental perforated metal introduces an element of style to your projects. Easily sheared and fabricated into any shape, these quality products, available in steel, aluminum, stainless steel, and specialty alloys, offer a lifetime of service.
Pattern Alignment
The standard pattern alignment for slotted and rectangular products is Side Staggered. This means the long dimension of the opening is parallel to the length of the sheet. Optionally, slots and rectangles may run parallel to the width of the sheet by specifying End Staggered slots or rectangles.
Hole alignment for ornamental patterns are typically linear Straight Line or Staggered. Our sales staff will gladly provide samples or answer any questions regarding sheet configuration.

Options for Fabrication & Finishes
Fabrication
Our fabrication teams are highly trained and ready to shear, form, roll, frame, or customize any perforated metal panel order. These services can be provided to a single sheet, multiple panels, or high- volume OEM requirements. Let our many decades of experience serve you and your needs.
Infill Framing
Perforated metal is often a preferred choice for handrail infill panels. Properly framed with “U”-edging, rolled angle, “double-bar” sandwiched flat bars, or other metal sections, these shop fabricated panels are typically provided with mounting brackets for quick installation into the rail system.
At Grating Pacific, our design and fabrication teams are trained to closely focus on proper alignment of the hole patterns. This attention assures that your panels will maintain visual symmetry on continuous level runs or inclined stairways.
Sunshades & Canopies
Overhead installation of perforated metal adds a functional and aesthetic feature to many projects. Sun protection is often provided while the free circulation of air is maintained.
Standard perforated products are commonly specified for an economical solution. If the perforated panel is intended to serve as a strategic element of your structure, consider our custom perforated metals with enhanced finishing.
Finishes
Perforated metal is available in a variety of metals: carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and specialty alloys. All products are lightly oiled during manufacture and stocked mill finish, without cleaning. If finish coatings will be applied, the metal should be cleaned prior to coating.
Carbon steel perforated metal can easily be painted or galvanized to enhance corrosion resistance. Aluminum products can be anodized, or epoxy coated. Stainless steel products can be electroplated to provide for a bright finish or abrasive blasted to provide a uniform matte finish. Other specialty alloys have finish options related to the type of alloy.
